Oettie has been an excellent Maths and English tutor for our 11 year old daughter. We moved to the UK from a very different school system in the US 1.5 years ago and she helped our daughter catch up on various subjects, at the same time preparing her for the 11+ exams. Our daughter described Oettie as smart, patient, encouraging, kind and funny, and we found her very professional and reliable. She made the 11+ process very smooth for our family and our daughter felt well prepared with good advice and plenty of mock tests, resulting in her getting into most of the schools she applied to. Oettie is an excellent, and certainly trustworthy, tutor and we are very grateful for her!

Oettie is very engaging and uses different techniques to make learning fun and interesting. My daughter really enjoyed her tuition sessions and her confidence has grown enormously. This was in preparation for 8+ exams.

Oettie has been tutoring both our girls for the last two years. She is very thorough and managed to fill all the academic gaps our daughters had. She teaches from the ground up and makes sure the base of any subject is solid before moving on to the next level. She also helped prepare our older daughter for her 11+ exams. She has a very extended knowledge of English and Math as well as Verbal and Non Verbal reasoning and she is very well acquainted with all the online platforms like Atom, Bond etc and taught our daughter how to approach each question in the most effective way and get ahead on the problem solving. Oettie has definitely been a great help and has made a big difference to our daughters academic achievements. Adding to this, the girls like to study with her and have been taking well to her approach to teaching. I strongly recommend her as a tutor.

Oettie is a fantastic and dedicated tutor. Oettie prepared our son for the ISEB exams alongside general English tutoring (with dyslexia support). Oettie is methodical in her approach - working through all relevant modules and identifying strengths and weaknesses to make sure that the time spent with the child is targeted and effective. I recommend Oettie wholeheartedly. Having her support took the stress out of the process for our son (and us!).

Oettie's passion for food and cooking shines through everything she makes. I've been lucky enough to try several of her dishes as well as cook alongside her. She has an adventurous, colourful and flavourful cooking style that is naturally healthy but feels like a treat to eat! She's always teaching me new food combinations and techniques and think she'd make a fantastic cooking tutor for anyone passionate in plant based cooking :)

Oettie is a brilliant teacher. She and I cooked together for about 2 hours every other week. She was incredibly kind and patient and very clear in her directions. She brought some really exciting recipes that incorporated a variety of skills and flavour. I learned some very helpful techniques that I now use often and have brought my cooking to the next level. She was very fun to spend time with as well as flexible and accommodating.

Oettie is an incredible and inventive cook. Most of her cooking is plant based and always full of flavour and super delicious. She can cater to all needs and has a brilliant and flexible personality. I hired her to cook on set whilst shooting a feature film and she was brilliant and her gorgeous food and demeanour was loved by all!
