About Heather
Hi! I’m a certified Special Education teacher with a passion for helping students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties become confident, successful readers. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling with a focus on Adult and Child Development. I’m trained in both the Orton-Gillingham approach and the Wilson Reading System, two of the most effective, research-based programs for structured literacy instruction. In addition to my professional background, I’m also a mother to a daughter with dyslexia and ADHD. I understand firsthand the challenges families face—and the importance of patience, empathy, and evidence-based support. With years of experience supporting diverse learners, I tailor each online session to your child’s unique strengths and needs. I provide all curriculum and materials, so you can focus on progress—not preparation. My goal is to create a positive, empowering learning environment where students feel capable, understood, and motivated to grow. Let’s work together to unlock your child’s reading potential—one step at a time!

Struggling with reading doesn’t have to be a lifelong challenge. I’m a certified Special Education teacher with years of experience helping children with dyslexia unlock their potential using proven, research-based methods.

****You will need a binder, pencil and have the ability to print the workbook. We will work together building confidence in reading and writing. No homework needed!
