About Humaira

I see teaching as a natural extension of what I already do. In my role as an Early Years Practitioner, and previously as an SEN Teaching Assistant, I’ve been supporting children in building communication, confidence, and independence. That, in itself, is teaching. For me, teaching isn’t just about delivering lessons - it’s about creating opportunities for children to grow, feel included, and realise their potential. I enjoy helping children, especially those who are neurodiverse or from underrepresented communities, to find their voice and feel supported. I also view teaching as a strong foundation for my journey into Speech and Language Therapy. The skills I’ve developed in guiding children’s learning and supporting their development will carry forward into my future practice, allowing me to make a meaningful difference in both educational and therapeutic settings.

About the lesson

I use visual aids with professional experiences. I try to make it as clear and fun as I can to make the sessions engaging to the best of my ability. I also like to balance out with any necessary breaks to give room to process and to reflect upon the work tasks given.

I tutor in Health and Social Care levels 1-3, Primary level English and GCSE English.

Please note: I’m training to be a speech and language therapist myself, so I’m still grasping and adjusting to the approach.
