About Mariah
An SLP graduate with a background in special education and over 10 years of experience in public schools and specialized settings, I hold certifications in reading, English, and exceptional student education with experience as a reading teacher, English teacher, special education teacher, and special education lead. In addition to my school-based work, I’ve provided intensive reading intervention at a private reading clinic using structured, evidence-based programs like LMB's Seeing Stars. I specialize in helping students with dyslexia and language-based learning differences build foundational skills and confidence through individualized instruction.

As a reading specialist, I provide individualized, evidence-based instruction that targets symbol imagery, phonemic awareness, spelling, fluency, and comprehension. My lessons are structured, engaging, and designed to help struggling readers become confident, independent learners. I adapt each session to meet the unique needs of every student and use visual, verbal, and multisensory strategies to strengthen core literacy skills.
