About Ruthie
Precision in scales and arpeggios remains secondary to finding a truly authentic sound. My 13 years of instruction span from Suzuki beginners to advanced players seeking to refine posture and hold. I integrate formal training from Rice University to sharpen left hand agility.
Ear training and tuning by ear are essential parts of my teaching approach. Refinement happens here. My technical focus covers grade exam prep for ABRSM and Trinity alongside focused tone production. Clarity defines my method.

Starting today means focusing on that tricky bridge between your current ability and musical expression. My lessons use 8.0 tempo markers to ensure steady progress through difficult passages.
I provide recorded playback of difficult segments for your home practice. This habit helps you digest technical demands of bowing technique at your own speed.
My degree from Rice University informs how we break down complex phrases. You gain direct access to my 13 years of pedagogical experience.
These sessions prioritize acoustic clarity and physical comfort. I build habits that stay with you long after our time concludes. You will leave each session feeling prepared and confident to practice effectively.
