About Nick

I am a second-term Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) student at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Francisco State University. My academic background in movement science, combined with hands-on clinical training, allows me to provide clear, structured, and personalized guidance in anatomy and related subjects

About the lesson

Teaching method and techniques
I focus on clear explanations, visuals, and real-life examples to help students understand, not just memorize. As an SPT, I connect anatomy to movement, injury, and everyday function so the material feels relevant. I break complex topics into smaller pieces, check for understanding often, and adjust my pace based on the student. I also teach study strategies, not just content, so students learn how to learn anatomy on their own.

A typical lesson plan
We usually start with a quick review of past material and any questions. Then we cover new content using diagrams, models, or guided notes. I’ll ask questions throughout to make sure things are clicking. We finish with practice problems, labeling, or review questions, and I help the student summarize key takeaways so they leave confident.

What sets me apart as a tutor
My background as a student physical therapist allows me to explain anatomy in a practical, easy-to-understand way. I’m patient, encouraging, and used to working with different learning styles. I don’t rush, and I make sure students feel comfortable asking questions without judgment.
