About Yara
Hello everyone! Thanks for visiting my profile, I’m pretty sure you are in the right place if you are looking for a passionate teacher! I am Yara, a 20-year-old medical student from Syria. I am a national and international debater, feminist, and a big fan of languages. I volunteered to teach English language for low-income primary school students in Syria after the economic crisis hit our society. I noticed how much my students loved me and how their grades got higher. Moreover, I have a funny teaching experience to tell (and maybe learning at the same time!). I am now a C2- English speaker and I was the teacher myself. When I was 10 years old I pretended to be a teacher and my teddy bears were the students. I used the headway beginner book and started from level A1. One of my students “me” is now an outstanding English speaker who participates in a lot of amazing competitions and events in English including World School Debating Championship 2019, Hult Prize 2021, Girl Up Campaign.
I know you might be looking for a tutor with the most years of experience, who is for sure not me. But if you are looking for a teacher with the most passion out there, then no doubt it’s me.
