About Becca Teaches K
I am a homeschooling mama to two sons, one who has graduated and one who is a junior! I have been in education for 13 years as an aide and teacher in general Ed and bilingual classes. I have taught in both public and private schools as well as preschools. I have a passion for teaching students to love learning and can't wait to start our journey!

I believe all students need a solid phonics foundation before I introduce sight words and leveled readers. Students will practice reading fluently with me. Speed will come later as confidence and joy come. For older readers who read for knowledge and information, we dig in and look for context to help our reading comprehension.
