About Chané
I am a Stellenbosch University student with a strong passion for helping learners succeed in Afrikaans. I enjoy teaching and explaining concepts in a clear and simple way so that students can understand the language with greater confidence. My goal is to make Afrikaans feel less intimidating and more accessible, while helping learners improve their marks and develop strong language skills for school and beyond. I am an extroverted person and I believe in asking the right questions to encourage students to come to their own conclusions, so I can learn their thought process.

My lessons are focused on helping students improve their marks while building confidence in Afrikaans. As a Stellenbosch University student who achieved a distinction in Afrikaans Home Language, I understand what teachers and examiners expect in tests, essays, and language work. I explain concepts clearly, break difficult work into simple steps, and adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, strengthen their language skills, and achieve the results they are capable of. I can help learners from primary school up to high school, including exam preparation for senior grades.
