I have been playing the flute for 11 years, both as a soloist and as part of several different ensembles; I have played many concerts with the various ensembles I have been in, including two concerts at Carnegie Hall with the Staten Island Boro-Wide Band

My teaching method involves using the first lesson to assess the student’s existing ability, if any, and developing an approach based on the student’s level. If the student has no previous experience, we will start with the basics of playing. Once we are past that point, lessons will consist of warm-up exercises, followed by working on simple pieces of music that will become more complex as the student’s skill improves. I can provide a flute for the student to use during lessons, as I have two, but it is preferable that the student get their own flute at some point, so that exercises and pieces of music can be assigned for practice between lessons. I will provide demonstrations of everything I teach on my own instrument, and I will provide guidance and support every step of the way.
