About Bryan
As a qualified teacher, schools I have served worldwide as Performing Arts Director include: Sibford Boarding School. UK The American British Academy, Oman, Shanghai American School, China, The Overseas School, Sri Lanka, Alice Smith International School, Malaysia, British International School, Saudi Arabia, and recently, The International School of Dusseldorf, Germany. Since lock-down curtailed travel, I continue to mentor aspiring Drama/Theatre students one-two-one online.

To startle the awakening of oneself is the purpose of my role in arts education. In essence, self-transformation that emerges from partnerships designed to develop Monologues for theatre school auditions. Experience validates. Therefore, as a performing arts educator with 25 years experience, my role is to engage theatre students with meaningful, real-world skills. Diverse discovery, where young people take risks to tell the untold infused with their own magical meaning.
Cultivating “I can” attitudes on a stage of infinite possibilities, collective exploration of the human condition leads to self-discovery. Through practical investigation, students who aspire to a place in some of the world's finest theatre schools learn to identify, and apply, hitherto unknown internal resources.
With each passing year, age differences increase between my students and me. Extraordinarily I feel closer now than ever before. The boundaries of age have become a bridge to mutuality and generational understanding. Recognizing we are all teachers and learners together my attitude towards curricula design ensures vulnerability and trust are active participants. Behind the eyes, the internal terrors of youth bring tyrannies we never see. My task is to transform these into creative self-expression. A collaborative journey where all experience the universal language of performance.
