About Jamie
I am a Strength and conditioning coach and nutrition coach for combat sports athletes. I have a background in sports science performance conditioning and physiotherapy.
I specialise in HEALTHY weight loss management, making losing weight a permanent lifestyle change rather than the usual yoyo dieting culture where you lose a few pounds for maybe a month and then put it all back on again.
My work has to be precise and I must be able to put into practice what I preach as my athlete's livelihood relies on them being able to make a certain weight for fight day. Not only this but they must be able to perform optimally meaning they have to be HEALTHY.
I focus on treating my clients in the general public exactly as I would treat a professional athlete. I keep them accountable, I give the same nutritional advice, I am available any time of the day for questions even outside of our paid time. But most importantly I take your development and results seriously, compiling the stats and putting in the work to make sure you're on track for our agreed goals.

Once I have the information I need you will be given:
-A nutrition plan that starts of with small changes and builds to every meal of each and every day
-A work out plan that is tailored to your needs and level that again is progressive so you are always seeing results.
-Help with food recipes and exercise technique.
This is standard in every personal trainer you will ever meet, what is different about my sessions is you are also getting:
-Education on nutrition and exercise so that you can help yourself for life and not just the next 6 weeks
-Training from a coach that deals with weight loss management in professional athletes who compete on the world stage
-Accountability every single day outside of our paid sessions. Each and every day I will whatsapp, sms or email (depending on your preference)you to keep you on track so you stand a better chance of reaching your goals. I will also be expecting you to send me pictures of your food and pictures of your weight on the scales each and every day just like I expect from m athletes. This is how we get results!
-Life coaching, advice, how to pursue your dreams etc. No piece of information is insignificant when it comes to your life. Your wellbeing consists of more than your physical health, it is your emotional and mental health also. In our online sessions I seek to cultivate all of these.
I have always had a deep fascination with elite athletes and I KNEW that they were being told something the general public wasn't. Now that I've put the work in and I know, I'm almost disappointed, there were no pills or secret potions or magic formulas. Just good old fashioned healthy and nutrient dense foods that mother Earth has produced. That combined with discipline and accountability.
Now I can understand you are probably thinking "wait I can do that myself" and you're absolutely right, you can. But you aren't doing that. I'm not here to dangle on you on the edge of a string with substandard results and keep you paying me forever. I'm here to get you results in 6-12 weeks and show you how to do this yourself for the rest of your life.
I'm not going to drown you with information all at once, but I can imagine, like myself and many others have tried to do in the past, that you try to change everything at once. You ramp up your nutrition, you try and work out every day and sleep perfectly and not drink any coffee and drink lots of water. And what happens? You're going to the toilet every 5 minutes; you have a banging headache from caffeine withdrawal; you're sore and tired from the gym; your healthy food tastes bland and boring and you get to bed and can't sleep a wink.
Naturally you can't keep up with that. The bad habits that have resulted in the way you are today have been developed over time. It only makes sense then, that to develop good habits to look and feel the way you want, it will also take time. Then you will begin to make those habits part of your everyday routine and you won't even have to think about them, just like you don't with your bad habits right now.

To start I will provide you with a free consultation online session, here I will get a feel for who you are as a person with a health, hobbies and lifestyle questionnaire. These questions will contain information such as food preferences, sports enjoyed, aspects of yourself you want to change, aspects of yourself you want to keep the same. I will then give you a breakdown of how your plan will be tailored to you and the results I think we will achieve together over the coming weeks.
My clients on average lose nearly 30 pounds in a month (if they have it to lose that is) and this is using the same methods and the same attitude as I would use for a professional combat sports athlete.
I will ask you what you expect from me as a coach and I will let you know what I expect from you. If you're happy with everything you've heard then we are in business, if not for whatever reason, then no hard feelings and best of luck for the future.
