Theodore Ong is an aspiring legal professional currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate of Law with a specialized focus on human security law at the esteemed Australian National University. He has distinguished himself by achieving a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a specialization in International Relations and Human Rights, complemented by a minor in Political Science.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Theodore harbors a profound passion for music education, and his expertise shines through his roles as a violin and music theory instructor. With dedication and finesse, he adeptly imparts knowledge to students ranging from four to fifteen years old, conducting private lessons with the AMEB syllabus.

Alongside his commitment to music education, Theodore adeptly manages a flexible role within the retail industry, where he consistently contributes to an enhanced customer experience, all while embracing the casual nature of the position.

About the lesson

With five years of tutoring experience, I have been honored to guide numerous students on their journey to success in music theory. Throughout this rewarding path, I have consistently achieved exceptional results for my students, with many attaining high distinctions in their music theory examinations, often through esteemed music schools like Music for Canberra.

Drawing from my own background as a music scholar and law student, I bring a distinctive blend of passion and expertise to each tutoring session. My meticulously crafted approach goes beyond instilling a comprehensive understanding of music theory concepts; it also nurtures critical thinking and analytical skills, which are essential for excelling in music theory examinations.

Throughout my tenure as a music tutor, I have specialized in preparing students for the challenges of AMEB theory exams. To provide a comprehensive and wholistic education experience, I incorporate the renowned AMEB syllabus as a foundation while harnessing the effective teachings of the Samantha Coates "How to Blitz Theory" syllabus, along with my familiarity with Music Craft and Dulcie Holland Syllabus, and music theory and aural training.

Creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment is at the core of my teaching philosophy, allowing my students to not only flourish and achieve proven high-distinction outcomes but also to build individuality and confidence and enjoy playing the violin. As we embark on this harmonious journey together, I remain committed to empowering each student, enabling them to reach their fullest potential and achieve remarkable success in music theory and beyond.
