About Vanwyk
I'm Mrs. Amelia Breytenbach. My motto is: "I am good enough, I know my worth." Let's strive together. Create your own motto, believe in yourself! Your family and I already believe in you, you can do anything you set your mind to. In my sessions there is no such thing as " I can't or I don't know" only I can, I will and I'm going to do it. Together we will change "I don't know", together we will find the correct answer. At first you don't succeed, try and try again. Practice makes perfect. As soon as you experience the "Eureka" moment, a new world will open for you.

Patience is key. Create a calm & safe atmosphere. Is there any emotional issues that can interfere with concentration? Establish students' learning preferences so that you can use it in your lessons. Best learning takes place when you combine the three learning styles. Every student has his own unique way of learning. It is my role as tutor to establish the way and to nourish it so that the student can reach his full potential. With the knowledge of his preferred learning style, I can prepare lessons that engage the student in the learning process. That way the student will learn better, remember better and will be able to apply the knowledge. I firmly believe if a student mastered the problem-solving skill with scaffolding and the needed guidance, the student will then see that learning is fun and knowledge makes you "smarter". Nobody can take it away from you. I am proficient in Afrikaans and English.
