About Grace
I am a friendly, enthusiastic and approachable A level student who really enjoys Maths and Chemistry. I love helping other students understand topics that they may find difficult and finding different ways to explain things until they make sense. I am patient, organised and sociable, and I want my lessons to feel relaxed, encouraging and enjoyable. I believe learning is much easier when students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I also enjoy helping students build their confidence, stay organised with their schoolwork and, if they want to, get ahead of what they are currently learning in class.

I structure my lessons around each student’s individual needs, schoolwork and progress. At the beginning of each lesson, I like to discuss what they have been learning that week and identify anything they have struggled with or would like extra help understanding. Where possible, I can also look at their school’s planned topics so I can prepare lessons around what they will be learning next. This allows students to get ahead of their class if they would like to, while also making sure they have a strong understanding of their current work.
During lessons, I explain topics clearly and step by step, using examples and practice questions to build confidence. I encourage students to ask questions and work through problems themselves with my support. At the end, we review what we have covered and identify anything that needs more practice. If the student would like, I can also provide additional work or questions to complete between lessons.
