About Alberto
Ciao a tutti!
I was born and raised in Ragusa, Sicily. I graduated from a classical lyceum, where I learned to translate from Ancient Greek and Latin. I have then studied Film Arts at Sapienza Università di Roma and from there I transferred to the American University of Rome, where my journey with the American culture began.
I am currently a student in Los Angeles, California and I am more than happy to teach Italian both in person and online to anyone who is interested in learning about my culture and becoming fluent in Italian.

Italian is a beautiful language and my teaching method involves:
- Covering its grammar through written exercises and conversation
- Learning the culture behind the language, discovering interesting idioms, recipes, songs and movies that made Italy's history
- Lots of conversations to stimulate spontaneity and fluency
- Making the "sense of humor" part of the journey: understanding irony and sarcasm in a different language is the primary goal for anyone wanting to master another language.
Since I graduated from an American university, I've known the best of both worlds. This allows me not only to translate idioms and concepts, but also to find points of contact between the Italian and American culture.
