About Alannah
Currently studying Business at university, I would like to complete a PGCE to become a teacher after I have finished my degree: I studied a Teaching and Learning Higher Education Course last year and I also studied English Literature and Creative Writing at college. I would love to continue inspiring others and also learning from others to develop my skills. I have spent a lot of time in a school environment helping teachers and for work experience.

With exam season coming up I would like to give lessons from students from Primary Level up to Year 11. I understand that it is a stressful time and I definitely wish I had a little extra help when I was sitting exams! My preferred learning method is that I would base my lessons on whatever topic that a student needs help with and communicate with the student to understand what way they learn best. Due to my experience with a teaching course I know how to plan lessons effectively. I also understand the importance of having a fun element to lessons so that is something I incorporate into every session. Building strengths from session to session is my main focus until the student is ready to complete their goal; whether that be an exam or assignment that’s due I am there to offer guidance.
