Education doesn’t always work with a teacher teaching a class of 20+ people. Most people work better 1:1.
If you’re a student in year 9-11, we’ll look at a recipe on how to write a grade 9 quality essay. We’ll go through the texts set by your exam board and understand how to do close analysis as well as thematic approaches, creating colourful mindmaps for the visual learners who don’t like memorising blocks of texts (I don’t either!)
If you’re a student in year 5-8, our focus will be a lot more broader and will be catered to what you specifically need whether that’s help with reading comprehension or SPaG.
Typical lesson length: ~1 hour! Tutees can contact me at any time they wish via email at no extra cost—whether that’s looking over and marking an essay or just subject queries!
My experience: I am a student in year 13 studying biology, chemistry, and Latin. I have completed an EPQ in English literature and am predicted an A* for that.
I received grade 9s in English language and English literature. Overall, I received 5 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s, and 2 grade 7s. As a student, I know what works best and what doesn’t!
