About Luca
Hi! I'm a friendly and patient Maths tutor who has recently completed my A-levels in Maths and other STEM subjects. Having once struggled with Maths myself, I understand how frustrating it can be when a topic doesn't make sense straight away. I found that breaking problems down into smaller, manageable steps made a huge difference to my understanding and confidence, and this is the approach I want to bring to my own teaching.
Through my volunteering experience, I have supported children with their learning, including helping pupils with Maths and adapting my explanations to suit different needs. This has taught me the importance of patience, encouragement and finding different ways to explain a concept.
I want to teach because I know how rewarding it is to go from struggling with a topic to finally understanding it. My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen their mathematical skills and realise that they can make progress with the right support. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

My approach to tutoring focuses on making Maths easier to understand by breaking down challenging topics into simple, manageable steps. I tailor my explanations to each student's individual needs and encourage them to ask questions whenever they are unsure, helping them develop confidence and a strong understanding of mathematical concepts.
Lessons typically last one hour and take place entirely online using Google Classroom and DrawChat, an interactive online whiteboard. This allows me to share questions, view students' working in real time and provide immediate feedback and guidance as they tackle problems.
Having completed my A-levels in STEM subjects, I have experience supporting students with their learning, including pupils with special educational needs (SEN). I aim to create a patient, friendly and supportive learning environment where every student can progress at their own pace.
I offer Maths tutoring from primary school level through Key Stage 3 to GCSE Higher Tier, helping students strengthen their understanding, develop problem-solving skills and prepare for exams.
