About Fabien
I am a M2 student at the Sorbonne, I work a lot on literature, and I want to move towards teaching. I have already given private lessons, during my preparatory class (in Tours, then at the Lycée Condorcet in Paris). I obtained my Master 1 last year, with very good honors. For five years, I have acquired a solid literary culture, and rigorous skills in grammar, as well as in spelling, which I wish to be able to transmit.

My courses are aimed at middle and high school students of all levels, having difficulty in mastering the French language, and in acquiring the method (or function) of exercises and French homework. I adapt of course to the expectations of my pupil, if he wishes, for example, to deepen his work, on already solid foundations. The first session is precisely to define the problems and needs of the student. My typical lessons are divided into three main stages: first, the student quickly gives me the subject of his recent French lessons, and, above all, what he or she learned, understood, and what gave him difficulties. This allows me to adapt my next course if necessary, for example by adding a problematic conjugation point. Then we work together on grammar or conjugation points, and I like to give a few words to learn from one week to the next (to master the spelling, or simply to expand its useful vocabulary). The main thing then lies in helping with schoolwork, on texts, on a literary period, or on the subject of previous courses, in accordance with the program. Finally, I give, adapting to the student, small assignments from one week to the next, which I correct at home, but for which I ask the student to look for errors himself (as well as the qualities!), before working together on the correction. These can be dictations, essays, text commentaries, or essay outlines.
