About Austin
I’m a dedicated and approachable tutor who achieved an A* in A-Level Sociology and hold an offer to study Finance at the University of Exeter from September 2026. Having recently completed my exams, I understand the challenges students face and the strategies that work for achieving top grades. My lessons will be structured, clear and tailored to each learner’s needs, combining easy-to-follow explanations with exam-focused practice and constructive feedback. Students tell me they appreciate my patience, enthusiasm and ability to make difficult topics feel simple. I first discovered my passion for tutoring while helping my sister and her friends with their Sociology studies. Seeing how their understanding and confidence improved gave me real satisfaction and encouraged me to offer my support to a wider group of students. However I would be lying if I said that this was the only reason I have started tutoring I have also begun tutoring to help finance a trip to Asia before I start uni in September 2026. Whether you’re aiming for a higher grade, need help with essay writing, or just want to feel more confident in Sociology, I provide a supportive environment where you can ask questions freely and make real progress. I deliver structured lessons that focus on breaking down complex Sociology topics so that they are clear and manageable. I use real-life examples to make theories easier to understand and combine this with exam-style questions and essay feedback to build strong exam technique and confidence. Techniques & methodology Quick review of prior knowledge to identify gaps Clear explanation of key content with examples and diagrams Guided practice with exam-style questions and timed writing tasks Recap and small targets to track progress Lesson length Standard lessons are 60 minutes online, though I can also offer 45-minute or 90-minute sessions depending on your needs. Qualifications & experience I achieved an A* in A-Level Sociology and hold an offer to study Finance at the University of Exeter, commencing September 2026. As a recent high achieving A-Level student, I know the exam requirements and what it takes to achieve top marks.
