About Karlie
Hi! My name is Karlie and I am a final-year student at the University of Queensland, studying Secondary Education, specialising in History and Film&TV studies. I have been studying this for four and a half years now, and am ready to get out and teach. Teaching is a learning profession, and I am excited to learn alongside you.
I have personal and professional experience with a variety of personal and mental factors which may affect not only the ability but the desire to learn.
I believe that learning can be fun. It's not only about being able to excel in meeting the criteria, but engaging with content and concepts in ways which spark the imagination.
No matter the subject, I'm not afraid to do my research and make sure I'm coming into the lesson prepared to teach and familiar with the topic. Whatever your concerns and goals for learning, my goal is to help you get there.

As a teacher, I aim to inspire learning through familiarity with my students, the content and the curriculum.
Lesson times can be adjusted to meet the needs of each student, optimising focus-time via appropriate breaks and lengths.
Each lesson is crafted to the needs and goals of the individual, designed to address whatever you would like to focus on as a student.
I have experience in tutoring in foundational double-bass, as well as teaching in diverse school environments for University placements.
I specialise in Year 7-12 Queensland Secondary education, with experience in History and Film&TV classrooms. I also have experience in Visual or applied arts, and can offer those extra guided sessions of focused time to complete big projects.
Because of my unique position as a student, I am familiar with the most recent of research and essay-writing skills, helping you to excel in addressing the criteria of the task.
