About Maya
Hi! I’m Maya, originally from New Delhi, India, and I’m currently studying Biomedicine with Entrepreneurship at The University of Manchester. I’m deeply passionate about learning and sharing knowledge in a way that feels engaging, encouraging, and fun. I believe that great learning happens when there’s a balance of focus and enjoyment — that’s why I aim to create a positive, friendly, and motivating environment for my students. My teaching style blends structure with creativity, helping students not only understand concepts but also gain confidence in applying them. Outside academics, I love playing the piano, playing EVERY sport, and exploring new cuisines and restaurants wherever I go. I’m also fascinated by music creation and sound design, and I enjoy experimenting with melodies in my free time. When I’m not studying or tutoring, you’ll probably find me reading about health innovation, journaling in cafés, or discovering new travel spots. Through my lessons, I hope to inspire curiosity, boost confidence, and make learning something students genuinely look forward to.

Teaching Approach: I focus on making learning both effective and enjoyable. My goal is to help students truly understand concepts rather than just memorise them. I always adapt my lessons to match each student’s learning style. Techniques & Methodology: – I use interactive explanations, visual aids, and real-life examples to make lessons engaging. – I include short quizzes, games, and fun challenges to keep students motivated. – I help students build confidence and develop strong problem-solving skills. • Lesson Length: – Each class typically lasts 45 minutes, but I can adjust based on what suits the student best. – Longer sessions (up to 60 or 90 minutes) are available for deeper revision or exam prep. • My Qualifications & Experience: – I have studied in an English medium school and I am extremely fluent and proficient in it, I'm fluent in Hindi as well. I studied Biology in depth from 7th grade to 12th grade and have decided to pursue Biomedicine at The University of Manchester for my further studies. – I’ve worked with students of different levels and helped them improve grades, understanding, and study habits. Who My Lessons Are For: – Suitable for students aged 10-20, from beginners to advanced levels. – Ideal for concept building or extra practice. What Makes My Classes Unique: – I create a fun, friendly, and relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. – I build a good and fun bond with my students to make learning less stressful and more enjoyable. – I believe that when learning feels fun, students remember and perform better!
