About Saima

I am a student and I am currently studying Education studies at London South Bank University in order to teach children in the future.

My previous experiences with art have been studying and taking Art as a GCSE as well as taking Media as a GSCE and A Levels.

I have been drawing and painting since the age of 8 years old and it will always be a huge passion of mine to continue this interest throughout my life. I identify myself as a self-taught artist and love creating unique pieces of art to express myself.

I currently, voluntarily, teach children ages 5-12 and help them with any school work they need to complete or even SATs questions.

I have also privately tutored 2 previous students ages 18 and 19 as they wanted to take up drawing as a hobby. They both feel majorly confident now and feel like their art skills have developed and gave them something fun to do.

About the lesson

I am a very expressive student who has been taking up art as a hobby since a child.
My teaching method is simply showing students they can easily put their mind to anything if they work for it! I believe everyone is good at art and no one is 'terrible' or 'can't draw'. Art is an amazing subject where students can freely express themselves and create pieces that magnify their personality.

My lesson structure will be very different each lesson and will start with students completing different tasks and working on a different technique each lesson.

My main aim is to allow students to feel confident in different Arts whilst heavily enjoying the subject which will push them to do their best!
