About Diala
Hi! My name is Diala, and I’m a dedicated tutor with over 6 years of experience helping students succeed in math, science, and general academics. I hold a B.S. in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine and have recently been accepted into a Physician Assistant (PA) program starting this fall. I have a strong background in teaching and healthcare. Over the years, I’ve worked with students from early childhood through college, both in-person and online. I understand that every student learns differently, and I pride myself on adapting my methods to meet individual needs. Whether it's teaching a kindergartner to build foundational skills or helping a college student through a tough chemistry course, I’m committed to helping my students feel confident and capable. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but also to encourage an appreciation for learning and achieve academic success.

My lessons are catered to each student’s individual needs. I try to learn my student’s strengths and learning style. From there, I break down hard concepts into simple steps, use visual aids/diagrams, or create study guides to better help my students learn. I like to constantly check to see if they are understanding the concepts as we go.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my experience with students of all ages and academic levels. I’ve been tutoring college-level subjects since 2018, and K–12 subjects—including English, science, and math—since 2022. Whether your child is just starting their educational journey or you’re a college student preparing for exams, I’m here to support you.
During my sessions for my pre-K and kindergarten students, I start with a quick recap of what we learned to ensure they’re constantly retaining everything. I like to use interactive and playful activities/videos to teach foundational skills like the alphabet, numbers, shapes, and colors in a fun and memorable way.
My lessons are available for:
Early childhood students (Pre-K & Kindergarten) where I teach foundational skills like the alphabet, numbers, shapes, and colors using interactive and fun activities.
Elementary to high school students (homework help, math through trigonometry, sciences, and more)
College students (general chemistry, microbiology, cell biology, and math up to trigonometry)
I offer both in-person sessions (at your home or a local library) and online tutoring, depending on your preference. My goal is to build your confidence and help you reach your academic goals at your own pace!
