About Makayla
I have an associate's degree in early childhood education and have studied under and been mentored by some of the best educators and professors in middle Tennessee, learning and tapering the skills I practice with your children. I have 6 years of professional nanny experience, and I am skilled in forming warm, trusting relationships with young children and families.
I am currently studying Human Development & Family Science to obtain my bachelor's degree & continue doing the work that I love.

I offer a fun and inviting space for littles to learn to love reading and writing! Whether you’re getting a head start on skills for the upcoming school year, or supplementing a curriculum, my sessions will provide your child with the critical skills they need to succeed. Through evidence-based practice, I will create and administer activities, experiences, and games to engage your child and exercise their developing skills. In most sessions, you can expect “homework”— short activities designed for you to practice with your child daily to strengthen a targeted skill. (E.g. word chaining.) Homework should take about 5-10 minutes to complete.
