I believe writing is a tool for empowerment. My tutoring style focuses on collaboration, clarity, and critical thinking. I guide students step-by-step through the writing process—from understanding the prompt and outlining ideas to strengthening arguments and refining final drafts. I offer constructive feedback, real-time editing help, and strategies that promote long-term writing improvement.
Each session is tailored to your current needs and learning goals. A typical lesson begins with a quick check-in to set goals, followed by a review of the assignment or any feedback you’ve received from instructors. The majority of our time is spent working together on outlining, drafting, or editing, and we finish with a wrap-up that includes personalized tips, suggested revisions, and optional writing exercises you can work on between sessions.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt to a wide range of students and assignments. With experience supporting first-year college students, graduate-level researchers, and those returning to school after time away, I bring patience, empathy, and a strong academic foundation to every session. As a nonbinary educator with a background in environmental studies and the humanities, I strive to create an inclusive and supportive space where all learners can thrive.
