About Karolin

My passion is music!

Singing in community has fascinated me since my earliest childhood, when my relatives sang folk songs together at big family celebrations.

A career as a choir singer was therefore inevitable. For 30 years now, I have been performing with various choirs on small and large stages (including the Kulturpalast Dresden) - first as a soprano, later as an alto.

But rock music is also in me. As the front woman of a Dresden rock band, I was able to rock the stage for three years until I decided to get even better at songwriting.

I studied music theory, arranging and composing at university and even graduated with honors. I had so much fun!

Since then, I have called myself a singer/songwriter. I have been able to take my singing to a new level since my time in the choir.
Vocal coach Tolga Oygen helped me do this and now I want to help you take your music to the next level! Let's get started!

I've been playing the guitar for 20 years and writing songs for just as long, just now on a new level.

And what does the recorder have to do with my offer?
Who hasn't had to play it as a child? I stuck with it for 7 years after the compulsory lessons and can even show a fairly decent qualification. I also have ensemble experience with the instrument (soprano and alto recorder). That's where I had the most fun. After 10 years of abstinence, I rediscovered the flute for myself and my students. I just love it when it's polyphonic.

My lessons are individual, professional, goal-oriented and motivating. I give you all the tips you need to improve continuously and at your desired pace and help you develop a straightforward practice plan that is fun and brings rapid progress.

You bring your own instrument, and I can provide you with sheet music, songs and lyrics if you need them. I'm also happy to help you with advice on purchasing an instrument!

In a free trial lesson we can get to know each other and you can get an impression of how I work. You decide whether it's right for you.
