About Millie

My name is Millie and I am currently studying Music BA at Bath Spa University. I have been singing all my life and achieved my Grade 8 ABRSM in 2021. I have been teaching singing for 3 years and I love it! In the near future, I hope to set up my own company for students to come and learn how to sing, dance and act!
I am classically trained, but sing a variety of genres including Musical Theatre, pop, jazz, country, folk etc. (just not heavy metal! )
I can’t wait to get to know you and start singing together!

About the lesson

The most important thing I aim to do in my lessons is to make the student feel comfortable as I understand how nerve racking it can be singing to someone! I do this by teaching silly exercises, allowing the student to sing what they want to sing and helping to build confidence in themselves so that they have the tools to be able to go out and sing in public. I love learning about the theory of the voice and how it works and so I will pass on this knowledge during my teaching and I am big on characterisation and teaching the student how to perform the song as well as the basic techniques of how to sing!
I am classically trained and have also grown up singing musical theatre, but I will teach any genre of singing that the student would like to learn (except heavy metal!)
Singing lessons were my favourite part of the week because my teachers were always fun and engaging- this is how I aim to make my students feel.
