About Elise
Hello! I'm in my final year at Durham University, and I'm thrilled to offer French tutoring on Superprof. Born and raised in France, I have an authentic connection to the French language and culture. My entire family is French, and I graduated with a French Baccalaureate, giving me a deep understanding of both the language and the educational system.
I'm passionate about sharing my native language. My teaching philosophy is all about making learning fun and interactive, tailored to each student's interests and learning style. For beginners, I create a welcoming atmosphere, focusing on essential vocabulary and pronunciation. As for my teaching materials, I love using a mix of textbooks, multimedia resources, and real-life content to keep lessons lively and relevant. I believe keeping students engaged is key, which is why I set clear goals and use interactive activities to maintain high interest and motivation.
When teaching grammar and vocabulary, I use practical examples and exercises, making these aspects of learning as accessible and interactive as possible. I customize my lessons to fit each student's unique needs, ensuring they're both enjoyable and effective.

Elise has helped improve my conversational French by creating a relaxed environment where I can practice speaking with a native speaker. She is very diligent at creating a vocabulary list of words I wanted to use but didn’t know / forgot during our conversations. Would definitely recommend!
