My teaching method is student-centered, focusing on the individual needs, goals, and learning styles of each student. I combine communicative language teaching (CLT) with task-based learning to ensure students can use Japanese in real-life situations.
A 60-minute lesson might look like this:
Warm-Up (5-10 minutes): Quick review of previous material or a casual conversation in Japanese to get into the mindset.
New Material (20 minutes): Introduce new vocabulary, grammar, or kanji with examples and practice exercises.
Interactive Activity (15-20 minutes): Role-playing, listening exercises, or a game to apply the new material.
Feedback and Q&A (10 minutes): Address questions, clarify doubts, and provide constructive feedback.
Homework/Preview (5 minutes): Assign practice tasks (e.g., writing a short paragraph, watching a Japanese video) and preview the next lesson.
