About Natasha

I didn’t grow up speaking Spanish fluently. Instead, I learned it the way many heritage learners do — by listening to my family, absorbing the rhythm of the language, and singing Los Panchos with my abuelitos long before I understood every word. Because Spanish wasn’t my first language, I deeply understand what it’s like to learn from English: the confusion around conjugations, the challenge of remembering phrases, and the frustration of knowing what you want to say but not how to say it yet. This experience has shaped the way I teach — I focus on fun, memorable strategies that help vocabulary, phrases, and verb forms truly stick. Alongside formal study, I’ve learned Spanish through many years of travel and immersion across Mexico, Colombia, and Central America, using the language in real-life, everyday situations. This blend of structured learning and lived experience allows me to teach Spanish as it’s actually spoken, not just as it appears in textbooks. My approach is supportive, practical, and tailored to each student — helping learners build confidence, clarity, and a genuine connection to the incredible language.

About the lesson

Born in Australia to a Chilean mum, I grew up between two languages and cultures — so I truly understand both the challenges and the joys of learning a second language.

I’m a qualified English teacher and level C2 Spanish speaker (with a neutral accent.) Because I’ve been on both sides of the learning process, I know where students often get stuck and, more importantly, how to move past those hurdles with clear explanations and practical strategies.

My lessons are tailored to your interests and goals, whether you’re learning Spanish for travel, work, study, or personal enrichment. I make sure there’s a balanced focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while also building confidence and real-world communication skills.
