About Owen

I am a dedicated and patient Saxophone tutor with 11 years of experience and around 150 students successfully trained. I teach learners of all ages and skill levels, helping them build a strong and confident musical foundation.

My classes focus on technical excellence through breath control exercises, tone development, articulation practice, and scale training. I include rhythm drills and music theory lessons to strengthen overall understanding. As students improve, I guide them in improvisation and advanced performance skills.

I believe in adapting my teaching style to suit each student’s needs. Clear explanation, practical demonstration, and consistent feedback are important parts of my lessons. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning and growing.

My goal is not only to teach the saxophone but also to inspire a lifelong appreciation for music and creative expression.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for Saxophone is centered on Communication, Accountability, and Integrity to help students grow with confidence and discipline. I start by building a strong technical base through correct posture, proper breathing techniques, embouchure strength, and tone control.

I explain each concept clearly and demonstrate it practically so students understand how to practice effectively. Lessons include scale studies, articulation drills, rhythm exercises, and expressive performance pieces. I set weekly goals and structured practice plans to maintain accountability and steady improvement.

I regularly review student progress and give honest feedback to guide their development. With integrity, I focus on long-term skill building rather than shortcuts. Along with Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight Reading, and Improvisation to support complete musical growth.
