Coaching Methodology:

* 1 on 1 lesson: Personal coaching. Recommended for total beginners to learn proper technique. RM170/hour
* 2 on 1 lesson: Coaching 2 students. Recommended for students around the same level who want to learn how to play with other players. RM200/hour
* Pickleball lessons are also provided, same cost as above.

For complete beginners I recommend starting with red ball tennis using red training balls. Suitable for kids and adults. I also teach pickleball for kids as a starting point leading up to tennis. Pickleball and tennis share similar techniques. Besides that, a pickleball court is a good place to start for kids as the court is smaller and usually it is indoor. Red ball tennis sessions can be conducted in pickleball courts.

Equipment Provided:

* Spare rackets if needed
* Balls and basket
* Ball pickers

Students only need to bring water and wear shoes for the lesson. I mostly teach at condominium courts or at clubs for now. Please let me know your location and if you have an available court, so that I can arrange the class for you. Additional details about the lesson are provided below.

  • What age did you start playing sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.

    I started tennis at a young age around 5 years old. I have 3 brothers and we were all coached by my dad to compete in school and state level tournaments around Malaysia. Playing tennis competitively requires long hours of training, both mental and physical. I'm grateful that my dad spent his time to train us up from that age as we become fully developed players as adults.
  • What are your favorite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?

    Tennis will always be my first sport and it has taught me many valuable lessons. Because of my tennis training I'm able to play other racket sports such as pickleball. Currently I'm competing in and also coaching pickleball. The sport is now very popular in Malaysia, with so many players and courts that are available in Subang Jaya. For me pickleball is a good entry level sport for tennis as they are similar and most techniques can be carried over from tennis to pickleball and vice versa. I use it to teach kids to be able to contact the ball with the pickleball paddle while developing their tennis technique.
  • What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue your sport?

    For me tennis is a life sport that can be played until your old age. I have some senior students still playing in their 60s and 70s at a high level and hope to be able to play the sport until I'm old. I also enjoy playing matches and hope to still be able to compete in tournaments even when I'm older.
  • Do you have a sporting achievement that you're particularly proud of?

    Winning my first singles competitions outside of Johor state in the Melaka and MBPJ closed tournament. And reaching a national ranking of 3rd in Malaysia for the under 18s category.
  • How have your achievements and challenges made you a better sportsperson?

    Playing competitions has made me more resilient when it comes to challenges. I learnt to never give up and play my matches until the end. The same also applies to life. To keep moving forward and to learn from your past. That's how we improve from challenges.
  • If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?

    I would choose Novak Djokovic and I would like to ask him what keeps him playing at the highest level when he has already won almost everything. I think he just enjoys playing for the challenge and to keep testing himself.
  • How do you help people stay motivated?

    I tell my beginner students to just focus on the process, don't be too concern about the results yet. The most important thing is to enjoy the journey and to focus on improving themselves.
  • What makes you a Superprof in sports?

    Never give up and keep moving forward, whether in tennis or life.
