About Madeline
Although I took a break from tutoring when I began graduate school, I put myself through undergrad tutoring a very wide range of subjects, with over 50 students ranging from English composition to philosophy to quantum mechanics and GRE prep. I love teaching - it fills me with energy for my own studies, and nothing is more fulfilling than hearing about your students' latest successes. I know that hiring a tutor can be challenging for some, so I welcome comments about how you learn best, so I can adapt my style to suit you.

I am a PhD student at a top 5 program in my field, and I have a passion for helping students with nontraditional backgrounds or some early struggles with academia get into the program of their dreams. I work with students one-on-one to create a highly efficient individualized study plan to meet your goals, with an appropriate balance of independent work and tutoring to fit their budget and scheduling constraints. Outside of lessons, I am reachable via text to offer free support on any confusing independent practice, so that you never feel like you have to spend hours figuring everything out for yourself.
