About Zoe

Bonjour! I’m a passionate French tutor with more than 3 years of experience helping students succeed in complex academic subjects. I hold a BA in French with a concentration in Business and Diplomacy, which inspired my interest in the political and historical foundations of the French-speaking world. My tutoring approach is creative, thoughtful, and encouraging.

Students often struggle with dense historical texts and unfamiliar political vocabulary. That’s completely normal. I focus on simplifying major events, explaining political systems clearly, and helping students see how different ideas connect. When the structure becomes clear, learning becomes much easier.

I also enjoy helping students refine their academic writing. Clear expression and well-organized ideas are essential for strong essays and analyses. French history offers powerful stories of revolution, leadership, and social change. These moments make the subject truly exciting. Sharing that excitement with my students is one of the best parts of tutoring. My goal is to help students feel capable and curious. Together, we turn historical challenges into confident understanding.

About the lesson

My teaching method focuses on helping students succeed in French academic environments. Lessons are structured, supportive, and focused on clear progress. Each session includes review, explanation, and targeted exercises that strengthen key language skills.

French history, politics, and academic vocabulary are also part of the learning process. These topics can feel complicated, so I break them down into simple explanations. Students also practice writing clearly and organizing their ideas.

This approach works especially well for Heritage Learners and Travelers who want to reconnect with the language while preparing for life in France. Lessons focus on practical situations students may face at university. The goal is to build both confidence and strong academic skills.
