I’m a vocal coach and songwriter with a Bachelor of Music in Songwriting and over 8 years of teaching experience. Technology plays a big role in my approach—I love introducing students to DAWs, vocal processors, and studio mics. We focus on preparing for live electronic performance, vocal looping, and intricate layered arrangements. My favorite genres are R&B, Soul, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian, though I love exploring any style that suits a student’s voice. I emphasize lyric interpretation, tone shaping, phrasing, and harmonies to create expressive, confident singers. Lessons are tailored to both hobbyists and aspiring recording artists. Creativity and technique go hand in hand in my studio. I enjoy seeing students grow not only as vocalists but as storytellers. Every session encourages experimentation and musical exploration. About the lesson

My approach blends vocal training with modern studio techniques. I aim to help singers sound confident and professional in recordings. Microphone technique, including placement, distance, and handling, is essential. Students learn to use vocal effects like reverb, delay, and subtle processing. I teach proper studio etiquette to ensure efficient and professional workflow. Vocal layering, harmonies, phrasing, and expressive lyric interpretation are emphasized. Tone shaping, pitch control, and dynamic control are reinforced in every lesson. I support The Music Major and The Suzuki Student in achieving a polished, professional sound. DAW exercises and multi-layered arrangements prepare students for studio recording. Live electronic performance and vocal looping skills are introduced. Creativity is encouraged while maintaining technical precision. Lessons include editing techniques and listening critically to improve results. Both hobbyists and aspiring recording artists benefit from this approach. Students learn consistent practice routines to strengthen their voice. Genres like R&B, Soul, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian are explored. My goal is for students to retain individuality while sounding professional. Each session builds technical skill and artistic expression. Students leave ready to create recordings that shine and tell a story.
