About Fin

I’ve been involved in roller and inline skating for 40 years, starting as a competitive skater in the 1980s and 90s.

Over the years, I’ve explored different styles of skating, from speed, urban, slalom and freestyle. I developed a strong interest in understanding the technique and movement behind good skating.

I’m also the founder of Bara Inline Skating Club and SkatenLab – Science for Better Skating, a learning concept built around technique, observation and fun.

These private sessions aren’t about turning everyone into a racer. My goal is much simpler: help you become a safer, more confident and capable skater — while having fun learning new skills. 🛼

What I really like about Joe is his willingness to learn. He listens, takes feedback on board, and is always happy to give things another go. Whether it’s working on his ready position, knee alignment, quick steps, lemons or scissors, he keeps trying and adjusting. You can see he genuinely wants to become more relaxed, balanced, confident and in control on his skates, and that attitude makes him a pleasure to coach.

I’ve intentionally kept my rates affordable because my goal is to help more people get into skating, build confidence and discover how much fun skating can be.

1 skater: $40/hr
2 skaters: $30/person/hr
3–4 skaters: $25/person/hr
