About Syrine

I am Syrine, a postgraduate student in international and European business law at Trinity College Dublin. I graduated from a double degree in English and French law, which led me to pursue my legal education in both the UK for two years as well as in France. My native languages are French and Arabic but I have become fluent in English (C2) after spending two years abroad in the UK and studying a full-time degree in English. I have studied before my dual legal degree, French and English literature, as well as geopolitical and political sciences. I love to read and to learn different foreign languages as I believe it is a good way to get to know about other cultures and to share this passion with others.

About the lesson

I believe that teaching a language is also teaching a whole cultural world, particularly rich and diverse, which can be a bit challenging. Thus, the approach I promote is one that mobilizes different linguistic skills on a daily basis. Speaking and practicing a language is the most important step in my teaching approach, as I believe it is an excellent way to achieve both long-term and immediate improvement results. I first test and see what linguistic French skills the student has to adapt my teaching rhythm and agile planning in order to achieve faster results. I also adapt my teaching according to the students' needs and preferences. Then, I teach all of the different linguistic sides and skills, including writing, listening and reading. Finally, I like to teach while delivering a fun and positive learning experience to students, as I believe it is an effective and better way of learning.
