About Olivia

I am a dedicated Flute tutor with over 13 years of teaching experience. I teach School students, College students, and working professionals who wish to learn flute for academic studies, personal enjoyment, or professional growth. Teaching music has helped me connect with students from different backgrounds and skill levels.

My tutoring approach is clear, patient, and well-structured. I focus on building strong basics such as correct breathing, posture, tone quality, finger coordination, and rhythm accuracy. I believe that understanding fundamentals makes learning flute easier and more enjoyable. I adapt my lessons to suit each student’s pace and goals.

Along with flute lessons, I teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, scale practice, and ear training. These subjects help students improve their musical understanding and overall performance. I also assist students in preparing for exams, assessments, auditions, and performances.

One of my unique strengths is my ability to guide students with simple explanations and consistent support. I encourage regular practice and help students develop discipline and confidence. My goal is to help students enjoy flute learning while building a strong and lasting connection with music.

About the lesson

My flute teaching methodology is designed around communication, creativity, and flexibility. I aim to create lessons that are clear, enjoyable, and suited to each student’s learning style.

Communication helps build understanding. I explain flute techniques in simple words and provide demonstrations. I encourage open discussion and provide regular feedback.

Creativity makes learning enjoyable. I use creative exercises, musical pieces, and expressive playing techniques. I focus on tone, rhythm, and musical phrasing.

Flexibility allows lessons to meet individual goals. I adjust lesson pace and structure based on student needs. Whether learning for exams, performances, or personal interest, lessons are customised.

Flute lessons include breathing techniques, posture, embouchure, finger coordination, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading. I emphasise strong foundations.

I also teach related subjects such as music theory, note reading, rhythm training, ear training, and performance preparation. These subjects support overall musical growth.

My goal is to help students grow musically in a positive and motivating environment.
