I started learning with Ben at TuneUp Music Lessons around January 2021, taking advantage of the first free online lesson where I didn’t even know how to tune the guitar! I am now over 2 years in and Ben has helped build my understanding of theory, the anatomy of my guitar, reading tab and chords, and playing these with confidence. He is so patient and encouraging, and always gives honest, helpful feedback. Speaking as someone who is always 1000mph, he is really good at keeping your learning at a pace where you will see your own progress and structures lessons to build on your skills/confidence. Even via video call, Ben can pick up on where there may be any errors or areas to improve both visually and via audio (it’s impressive!).

Ben is a very patient and encouraging teacher, super knowledgeable to tailor lessons around your progress and focus on aspects you find difficult/enjoy to improve practice. The clarity of online lessons is good with Ben being able to hear even slight corrections to a chord. Greatly weekly material from theory to complete songs and improv. Keeps every week naturally challenging yet fun. I’m 25 and have no regrets starting this late, I’ve learnt so much already- definitely go for it!
