About Renata

My teaching journey began at the age of 13 when I served as the Cultural Director at my school. This role followed my professional acting debut with a theatre company at the age of 12. My passion for cultural activities continued as I took on the role of Vice President of the Student Union, where I focused on organising and managing cultural events. For the next ten years, I pursued a career in modelling and acting in both theatre and film. During this period, I also conducted workshops for the elderly and stroke victims, promoting movement, self-expression, and healing. These experiences honed my skills in communication, empathy, and leadership. Upon relocating to the UK, I began teaching in community centres. My first workshop focused on self-expression for African women, followed by a workshop on Sensory Awareness and experimental theatre for young people. My third workshop brought together women from diverse backgrounds to explore commonalities across cultures, fostering healing and understanding. I am confident that my experience in teaching, cultural event management, and performing arts.
