My approach as a French tutor

I believe that we learn a language best when we are active, confident, and connected to real-life situations. My role is not just to teach rules, but to guide you so that you dare to speak, understand, and use French in your daily life.

My teaching methodology and techniques

Communicative approach: we start speaking from the very first lesson, even if you are a complete beginner. Grammar and vocabulary are introduced through concrete situations (introductions, administrative tasks, job interviews, travel, etc.).

Personalization: I adapt each lesson to your goals (speaking at work, passing an exam, integrating into Quebec, traveling, etc.) and to your interests (culture, music, series, current events, etc.).

Variety of materials: short texts, dialogues, videos, images, interactive exercises, role-plays. I prioritize authentic materials to expose you to real, natural French.

Supportive and precise feedback: I correct your mistakes constructively, explaining why and how to improve, without stopping you from expressing yourself.

A typical lesson (1 hour), with flexible scheduling

Warm-up (5–10 min): a short conversation to “warm up” your speaking skills and a quick review of the previous lesson.

Lesson objective (5 min): I clearly present what we will work on (for example: describing your routine, understanding an email, preparing for an interview).

Main activity (25–30 min): dialogue, role-play, analysis of a short text or video, targeted exercises (vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation).

Free practice (10–15 min): guided conversation on a topic you enjoy, to use what we have just learned.

Wrap-up and homework (5 min): summary of key points, personalized tips, and, if you wish, short exercises or resources to continue between lessons.

Je crois que l’on apprend mieux une langue quand on est actif, en confiance et connecté à des situations réelles. Mon rôle n’est pas seulement de transmettre des règles, mais de vous accompagner pour que vous osiez parler, comprendre et utiliser le français dans votre quotidien.

Ma méthodologie et mes techniques

Approche communicative : on parle dès la première leçon, même si vous êtes débutant. La grammaire et le vocabulaire sont introduits à partir de situations concrètes (présentations, démarches administratives, entretiens, voyages, etc.).

Personnalisation : j’adapte chaque cours à vos objectifs (parler au travail, réussir un examen, s’intégrer au Québec, voyager, etc.) et à vos centres d’intérêt (culture, musique, séries, actualité, etc.).

Supports variés : courts textes, dialogues, vidéos, images, exercices interactifs, jeux de rôle. Je privilégie des documents authentiques pour vous exposer à un français réel.

Feedback bienveillant et précis : je corrige vos erreurs de façon constructive, en vous expliquant pourquoi et comment vous améliorer, sans vous bloquer dans votre expression.

Un cours type (1h), nombre d'heure a la demande

Mise en route (5–10 min) : petit échange pour “chauffer” la parole, révision rapide du cours précédent.

Objectif du jour (5 min) : je vous présente clairement ce que vous allez travailler (ex. : décrire votre routine, comprendre un email, préparer un entretien).

Activité principale (25–30 min) : dialogue, jeu de rôle, analyse d’un court texte ou d’une vidéo, exercices ciblés (vocabulaire, grammaire, prononciation).

Pratique libre (10–15 min) : conversation guidée sur un sujet qui vous intéresse, pour utiliser ce qui a été vu.

Bilan et devoirs (5 min) : résumé des points clés, conseils personnalisés et, si vous le souhaitez, petits exercices ou ressources pour continuer entre les cours.
