About Charmaine
My name is Charmaine and I have been playing piano since I was 7 years old. I feel strongly about introducing my students to all genres of music from classics to jazz and pop. I love teaching and know that no two people learn the same so lessons are tailor-made to each student and their specific music preferences and style of learning. I offer the Trinity School of London syllabus to those who would like to do exams and my students have all done very well in these exams. I also offer theory training alongside the practical classes.

Lessons are tailor made to your specific needs and the focus is always on the student having fun and developing a passion for music. I am able to do your lesson online or in person at your home or at my studio which is in Kloof, Durban. I am passionate about teaching and developing skillful musicians who love playing music. We have a student concert every year where all students have the opportunity to come together and share their skills. I also have a specific piano curriculum for 4 - 6 year old students.
