About Cinsia

I am a classically trained pianist & have also studied popular voice. I currently sing in Beechwood women’s community choir & the Sofa singers
on-line choir. I have also worked as a pianist at Lymm hotel, Amici’s restaurant in Stockport & the Mount of Olives restaurant in Cheadle Hulme.

I have been teaching music for over 25 years & enjoy working with a range of people, & like the challenge of teaching students of different ages & abilities. I specialise in working with students who have learning difficulties & disabilities & have graduated with a HND in Social Care. I also have a diploma in Piano performance, a Level 2 STLS & basic counselling training.

About the lesson

I have been a piano, keyboard, theory & voice teacher for over 25 years. I am based in Bramhall & provide a warm, welcoming, relaxing environment where my students can flourish. My lessons are student centred & I’m a friendly teacher with a positive, supportive attitude & a nurturing approach to my learners.

I teach a wide range of students including children, teenagers, adults & seniors. I work with students who struggle with dyslexia, dyspraxia, autism, ADHD & Tourette’s syndrome. I have also worked with students who have hearing difficulties, vision impairments & mental health issues such as depression, anxiety & OCD.

My piano & keyboard lessons encourage learners to develop their sight reading skills, a good technique, an understanding of music theory & harmony & will develop their musicianship skills as well as their ear.

My popular voice lessons include training in posture, breath management, intonation, diction & forward placement. My vocal lessons always begin with some work on posture, some relaxation exercises & vocal warm-ups then continue with a song which the student has chosen the previous week. We usually spend 2-3 weeks working on each song.

My theory lessons are aimed at students who want to thoroughly grasp the ability to understand how to read pitch, make sense of time signatures, clefs, note lengths, rhythms, keys, scales, musical terms & so much more.

My music lessons vary in length & it’s advisable for children to start with half an hour lessons if they’re learning the piano or keyboard. 45 minute lessons are better for students taking voice lessons or working at an intermediate level e.g. grades 4 to 5, hourly lessons are better for students who are working at advanced level e.g. grades 6 to 8.

I work on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays & I’m available in the mornings, afternoons & evenings. I am also available on Saturday mornings.
