About Hatty
I wanted to become a teacher because I genuinely love food — not just cooking it, but understanding why it works, how it affects our bodies, and how it connects to real life.
Food is something every single person uses every day, and I think it’s one of the most important life skills you can learn.
I also really enjoy helping people grow in confidence. Some students come into food lessons feeling nervous or unsure, and I love seeing that change into ‘actually… I can do this.’
My virtual classroom is a calm, respectful space where it’s okay to make mistakes, ask questions, and improve. You don’t have to be brilliant on day one — you just have to be willing to try.

I am an experienced Food Education teacher and subject leader specialising in KS3 Food Education and WJEC Level 1/2 Hospitality & Catering.
I provide targeted, personalised tutoring to support students with food safety, nutrition, theory content, practical skills, and NEA coursework. Sessions are carefully scaffolded to suit individual learning needs, including students who struggle with confidence, organisation, or exam technique.
My approach combines clear explanations, practical application, and exam-board-specific guidance to help students make measurable progress.
