About Joseph
I have been giving Guitar lessons for over 40 years. I taught middle school Math and History for 36 years. I have literally taught thousands of students over my many years as an educator. I have pride in the fact that all of my students have achieved their goals in my class. Concepts that have been important have been learned so that they can be prepared for the next level of their education. I feel that my students are the most important pieces in their education. They will become motivated with my lesson planning and eager to learn about the subject matter they will be exposed to.
Drawing students into learning requires lessons that are important to ensuring the understanding of concepts. My lessons are filled with this characteristic.

I have a Ph.D. in Education. I have taught for 36 years in Illinois Middle Schools. I was a teacher, guidance counselor, assistant Principal, Principal, Assistant Superintendent and Wrestling Coach. I have also played guitar for 50+. I have played both professionally and for leisure. I have recorded songs and written songs since I was 21 years old.
I feel that I can assist with teaching students the English Language also as an ESL Teacher. My lessons will be simple, yet instructional. I also feel that understanding basic concepts are important. I will carefully construct a curriculum map for each student that takes into account their level of understanding and achievement. My teaching method is student-focused with emphasis on making sure each student has the grasp of all important concepts before moving on to more difficult ones.
