My teaching style is hands-on, personalized, and focused on helping each student improve at their own pace. I break skills down into simple steps, demonstrate techniques, allow students to practice, and provide direct feedback. I also focus on confidence, discipline, communication, and understanding the “why” behind each skill.A typical lesson begins with a quick review and warm-up, followed by an introduction to the main skill or concept. I demonstrate the technique, guide the student through practice, and gradually increase the difficulty. We finish with drills or activities that apply the skill, followed by feedback and goals for the next lesson. What sets me apart is my combination of education experience and more than 15 years of football experience. I understand how to work with different learning styles, ages, and ability levels. My goal is not only to teach the skill, but to help students build confidence, discipline, leadership, and a strong work ethic.

Akil is a thoughtful, patient, and dedicated educator who cares about helping others succeed. He brings a calm, encouraging presence to learning and makes people feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges.
What stands out most is his ability to explain ideas clearly and approach learning with empathy. He understands that building confidence is just as important as building skills. I would recommend Akil to anyone looking for a supportive, dependable tutor and coach who will take their progress seriously.KILA.CO Athletics is great for kids! The coach is super supportive and really helps kids learn and grow in sports. The training is fun, builds confidence, and teaches good habits like teamwork and discipline.
