About Lakshmi
Teacher with 13+ years of experience, teaching all students from 1st grade to 10th grade. Previously was providing home tuitions for children around the area before the pandemic struck. Focused to make Hindi more enjoyable and easy to learn while also maintaining the caliber of learning. Despite what you know so far, you'll still climb up the ladder of understanding Hindi and enjoying it steadily.

The first class begins with an 'assessment, not judgment', where I try to test the student's basics and how much they know so far. On that basis, I'll understand where further care must be directed to for their learning, while making sure the child is not feeling self-conscious of their knowledge. Spellings are the next immediate area of focus, and while I'm clearing the basics, I'm also proceeding with newer topics that start off the same way, this time with an introduction and mind map. When it comes to teaching prose and poetry-- I start off with an introduction to the author/poet so that the child understands the poet's perspective. While teaching it, I focus on helping with the spellings, the 'varna vicchayde' of these complex words, thus breaking down the vocabulary into sizable pieces for understanding it better. I conclude the lesson asking the perspective of the child or prompting them to explain what they have garnered in the session. This is imperative because it's not just about what I've taught; it's very much about what the child has understood and taken away from the session. The focus on spellings and writing will be prime because learning isn't just the end--seeing how you apply and express it is essential.

Had one of my neighbour's kids attend Miss. Lakshmi's tuition classes and they were very, very impressed with her dedication to improve her students' hard work.
