Engagement is key. I like to find activities that are hands on and real world applicable. I like to tell my students what they are learning and how it will help them. Differentiation is key and teaching students to be independent and confident learners is important, as well. I have 21 years of experience in the classroom in 3 different states (Maryland, Virginia, and Delware) and have taught multiple grades at the elementary school level.
